Power Lesson
Twenty-Three

According to Nagual Juan Matus:

“Everything that Nagual Shamans do is done as a consequence of a movement of their assemblage points, and such movements are ruled by the amount of energy Nagual Shamans have at their command.

“Any movement of the assemblage point means a movement away from an excessive concern with the individual self.  Nagual Shamans believe it is the position of the assemblage point which makes modern man a homicidal egoist, a being totally involved with his self-image.  Having lost hope of ever returning to the Source of Everything, the average man seeks solace in his selfishness.”

The Lesson:

The social self of the fixed assemblage point is a firm belief in consciousness that it is the everyday mind of the physical body.  Do what it will or believe whatever it will about Realms of the Spirit, the consciousness of a human being constantly returns to the self-imagery and selfish daydreams and considerings of its social selfhood.  This, we can say, is the Mother of all bad habits of a physically rooted reactive emotional egomaniac who cannot handle criticism even if it is totally accurate.  Human beings are not only liars and cover-up artists, they are enclosed in an unmagical prison of self-reflection.  As a result of this, they are effectively dead already in the World of the Spirit.  Their assemblage point cannot shift or move and they cannot accept or visualize that they have such a terrible problem, such a lack of genuine Personal Power.  Hence, the only “Power” they actually seek is power-over-others, the “power” of somehow being impressive or attractive to others.  And since all those physical self-enclosed “others” are in the same fix, the entire social circus continues and a truly real and magical human being is invariably misjudged as either a useless person or even a possible problem, which is why such a magical individual must learn stalking.
