TAKE NOTE OF SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Year Two
SESSION EIGHT

Have you seen what happens ten seconds before you have finished considering this note?

Life goes on with or without this note.   Yet Life is mysterious. So this note is part of the mysterious quality of life.   Your life is also part of the mystery.   The Gestalt of Life is that the Whole is something more than the sum of the parts.

What is your real mood when you are trying to answer this question about your mood?   Do you have a meta-mood, a mood about your moods?   What then is your “metamood”?    Is it real? Or would you prefer to not come fully to grips with your mood? What would be the cause of such mental self-avoidance?   Have you noticed that most people are like biological robots who do not understand their own moods and reactions?   Self-understanding requires too much consciousness for most people. Maybe we had best go forward to the next futile note.

Here we are at this note.  Life has moved on and we are here now.  There is nothing much going on about moods here.  So what is the “theme” of this note.   Is it the theme of “themes”, which makes this note the Meta-theme.   But most people do not want to think very deeply about themes, so we will carry on through to the next note and whatever its “theme” will turn out to be.

Now we can arrive at this note.   We are presently arriving here to all that will prove to be contained in this.   Arrival thus becomes both a presence and an immediate horizon of the future of your involvement with this note.   You will even tend to arrive at your own mood, reaction, considering or thinking about this note.   You read this note to paradoxically arrive at your reading of it.  Mental time is therefore rather obviously different than physical time.  It seems to be a kind of paratime.   What then is the connection between arrival and paratime?
