This note is about your uncertainty as to what spiritual path you should follow. It is about your feelings of dissatisfaction with your present self you have become over the years.  And it is above all about the confusion you suffer from in all this.  So, what you need to do is now see what your state actually means. What it means is that actually you do not want to learn.  It is that part of you which is resisting learning that is providing the confusion and uncertainty as postponement of learning.  Your secondary self, which operates through your brain, is what you are interposing between your primary Spirit-self and real knowledge, real understanding and clarity.  Your personal bundle of subjective and conditioned responses is resisting genuine spiritual truth and knowledge.

This note is about the fact that you know that the truth of your condition has been revealed to you many times over the years, but you keep mysteriously “forgetting” about it.

This note is about what happens when you try to face the truth of your condition.  If you believe, for instance, that you have a mature spiritual teacher available to question, you will inevitably ask, “What should I do?”  It is right here that you should realize that it is not the teacher, the teaching situation or the available spiritual materials or methodologies that are causing your confusion, uncertainty or dissatisfaction, but rather the clash between the teaching situation and your own false personality, your brain-self, which feels threatened and self-defensive.  This is what prevents you from really hearing what to do.  This is what has always prevented you.
