You can begin afresh with this very note to do something good for yourself instead of what you usually do when you read one of these things.  The whole purpose of the teachings and challenges you find here is to ever be helping you to discover new directions you can take. Increase your mood of exploration and see what happens.

You can listen to this note with your mechanical, conditioned brain or you can listen with a new consciousness that is beginning to awaken within you.  What is possible for you here depends on which way you are deciding to listen.  In fact, this applies to anything you read or anyone you listen to.  It even applies to how you confront a world event.  Try to see how crucial this is for you.

Your basic objection to the darkness and self-destruction of humanity is correct.  Now find your Real Self where none of that can hurt you.

Let this very note reach you more deeply than most Notes do. Greater mental maturity can awaken within you, which means your usual mental immaturity will not as easily confuse you or keep you unhappy.  You can get clear and cheer up about yourself and your life in spite of the stupid insanity of society and the world.

This note is about a kind of inward self-change you do not normally regard as necessary or possible.  Do you now what it is?  It is the shift from your brain explanations to your higher questions.  To make this important shift, you must realize that you remain in need of a radically different viewpoint toward life on Earth, far beyond your present so-called “far out” views and opinions.  You are going to need a whole new approach to daily life where higher questions are constantly being asked and answered.  You must explore all this with the zeal and passion of cosmic adventure.
