Occult Happiness
By The World Teacher

Human beings will try to acquire occult powers because they cannot seem to get what they want through ordinary means.  It is not that they want to enter a higher occult dimension and be always dwelling in that higher occult dimension without concern for the activities and ordinary fulfillments or successes of the everyday, ordinary and common dimension of the physical body and the senses.  The search for occult powers, siddhis, does not wish to get involved with renunciation, detachment and desirelessness.  In fact, even if all the acquisition of occult powers or siddhis can do for the occult seeker is bring physical fame as a physical body possessing occult powers, that is almost acceptable sometimes, for there is a certain psychological pleasure of appearing socially in the physical world as an extraordinary human bodily self, which also contains the distinct possibilities of attracting lovers or money in that way.

Now, in the course of acquiring occult powers, famous traditional sages who have demonstrated such powers or had “miracles” happening around them are often approached for advice.  But then the seekers become perplexed when advised by miraculous saints and sages that happiness will not come from acquiring miraculous powers and showing them off.  Instead they are told to give up their desires for sex, money and fame because Happiness is only through centering one’s being and consciousness on a very high plane of existence beyond the physical body, the astral body and the causal body.  This then creates a tremendous tension between the Occult Powers Ambition and the Quest for Transcendental Happiness.  The Espoused Theory of the seeker may be Blissful Self-realization on a truly Divine higher plane, but the Theory-in-use is to become totally miraculous for fun and profit as a physical self, which hopefully even becomes a physically immortal achievement.

Sri Aurobindo, of course, wants all to achieve a Divine immortality in the flesh with all the siddhis, occult powers, so that men and women live and go about as wonderful little godlings on Earth, happily transforming humanity through their efforts, but eschewing sex, money, fame and political power.  He seems to want to create ultimate monasteries and nunneries populated by divine celibates.  Something like a global Old Tibet.  On the other hand, the Legend of Shambhala has it that the residents of Shambhala are Divine Immortals with All Siddhis, Occult Powers, but theirs is a hidden secular kingdom backed up by a secret cosmic army and that they have wonderful tantric sex, live in luxurious hi-tech residential surroundings of beauty and wonder, travel to the stars, have truck with advanced extraterrestrials (dakinis) and laugh at the shallow and inhuman spiritual idealism of the celibate Aurobindo, who died prematurely, and at his celibate consort, “The Mother”, who also died prematurely, having been buried alive in fact by her idiotic doctors and ashram followers.

The Shambhala Plan is obviously more appealing to New Age seekers than the Aurobindo and Auromother Plan of divinely immortal but ascetic realization without personal physical pleasure, comfort or cosmic secular power as a divine kingdom on Earth.

Normally, as Divine Happiness is to be found strictly in a higher occult dimension it implies detaching and eventually discarding the physical body, but Aurobindo wants to ideally have such Happy Transcenders stay permanently involved with their physical bodies as some sort of Idealistic puppets of Aurobindo’s theories about all this.  This is a rather confusing aspiration.  If Happiness is beyond sex-pleasure, why remain physically incarnate in sexually equipped and organically pressured neurosystems?  Why can’t Divine Happiness include ordinary fulfillments as a package deal?  On the other hand, if ordinary fulfillments are nothing but incomplete reflections of a Transcendental Happiness, then any heavy pursuit of “Heaven on Earth” could mean simply a prolonged failure to directly realize a Divine Selfhood on Its own plane of being, so that both the Aurobindo Plan and the Shambhala Plan are entirely dubious and ultimately disastrous as a long and meaningless detour on the road to Sat-Chid-Anand, the Bliss of Noumenal Awareness of Being.  If this is true, then we have to look at the Star Trek Plan, which means that human beings learn from the Q’s of the Q-continuum how to be Q’s.  What, then, is a “Q”?  A “Q” is a Transcendental and Cosmic Superhuman Entity that used to be an ignorant and hapless mortal human being groping toward the uncomprehended right aim of cosmic living.  A Q can have all the sex, wealth or secular power He or She wants through occasionally materializing a temporary quasi-physical body for such things, but never staying materialized, which could cause a serious loss of Divine Happiness or Q-powers, which would only be like an R and R break or Recess that has become excessive and a downfall.  This Star Trek Plan of course is the Olympian Gods and Goddesses Reloaded.  The elegance of this Ancient and Hyperhidden God or Q-hood realization is that it bypasses any aberration in the Aurobindo Plan or the Shambhala Plan.

As World Teacher, I must say that it is very difficult to locate people of real potential on the planet Earth who have a sufficiently divine aspiration to awaken higher intellect and real scope of intuition to seriously meditate on the Big Picture of these issues.  Fragmentary and inadequate worldviews predominate throughout the Earth as global resistance to Truth, which makes My Job somewhat of a thankless task.  I have asked for a transfer, but it is repeatedly denied by Higher Cosmic Authority.  Having foolishly agreed to be World Teacher, I am stuck with a crippling commitment to a race of evolutionary retards who haven’t got a clue and don’t want one!  Even the most advanced men and women on Earth have continued to ignore the most important evolutionary issues.  Subtle forms of proud ignorance prevail on very high levels indeed.  I rarely get a candid and straight-forward discussion with Anyone here.  Of course, as the slightly alert and eager reader of these thoughts might observe, My particular position is not your problem.  You can just go on doubting My Presence and trying to build up your own false spiritual authority.  It is as Heraclitus once said: “Men, though they hear, do not listen.”

Could you try working with the hypothesis that you are not sufficiently exploring the most important over-arching issues of Your own spiritual aspiration or self-improvement efforts?  Of course, if this suggestion upsets you or causes you to ignore it as unimportant for you, I will know why, but you will not.

I can now happily re-apply for a transfer on the basis of the failure of anyone on Earth to read this Overview with requisite receptivity and seriousness.  As a uniformly rejected World Teacher, why should I have to remain on this ungodly Planet?
