Listen to this incredible Note in such a manner that you will never have to read it again to be reminded of how short life can be if one has to take too long to get an important teaching or wisdom fully down in oneself so that one has real inner ownership or realization of it.  If you have not really got something you have been reading for years, your reading has been inadequate in some important sense.  Register this fully now and do not gloss it over.  This is no fucking joke.  You haven’t got forever to be clear about anything you need to be clear about.  Death is stalking you no matter how theoretically long you may live.
