TAKE  NOTE OF SOMETHING DIFFERENT
 

Year Three
SESSION TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY

Take a fuller look at whatever background anxiety is bothering you the most at this time and ask yourself if it is really necessary or just some neurotic aberration you stupidly maintain because of some illusion about your being and your life.  Then go on to the next Note.

 

What are you actually going through in yourself at this time?  And, what does it really mean?  Settle this quickly for now before you go on to the next impossible inner challenge.

 

If you suspect that there may be something fundamentally wrong with you, what might that be?  Have you ever made an all-out effort to correct it in yourself for real or do you actually always decide to live with it for some reason?  What reason is that?  If you like, just go on to the next Note.

 

Are you under any secret stress about being yourself?  Would you fully admit it to yourself and make a deeper effort to resolve it in a way that really works to relieve it?  Do you hope the next Note will just let you off the hook of this Note?

 

Would you like to believe that you are actually perfectly O.K. on the highest level where it really counts?  If so, believe it so hard that it becomes true for you and call it “Zen Enlightenment”.  Or, if it looks totally ridiculous and you are absolutely convinced that you are extremely fucked-up with no end in sight, then call it “Existential Enlightenment”.  Which Enlightenment works best for you?  Or do you just absurdly go back and forth?
