No neurotic, evasive, incompetent person in a seemingly crucial position in your life owes you anything at all!  Why?  Because such a person is fundamentally empty and has nothing of real value to give you.  Any genuine value you are to receive will come to you through another channel or it will not come at all. Do not take a single step beyond this Advice until you can count on yourself that you have fully and permanently built it into yourself and truly possess it.  The sooner you find the courageous moment to drop that nefarious person, the better off you will be.  Give up your self-defeating belief that you depend on some obvious asshole for your life to work.  If their minuses outweigh their pluses, they will always drain you and disappoint you.   You can change, but flat, dull neurotics never change. You can count on this.
