Most of our readers-of-Notes are people who imagine they have gained something from years of reading spiritual books and sometimes meeting people who are ostensibly connected with the occult or spiritual advancement.  The brain self finds it inconceivable that its book-knowledge, fleeting experiences and “important contacts” have been nothing but a wrongly structured spiritual interest or concern that has yielded no real advantage at all, but which has in all probability built up some very real obstacles to higher perception and connectivity.  So all that has been gained is the reinforcement of the assumption that the entire pattern has been some sort of a gaining or at least a seemingly valid preparation for very great spiritual things to happen.  The time has come for you to question your pattern and its assumptions. Will you now do this?

Most people when questioned about their “spiritual gain” over the years will often include that it has added meaning to their life or made them feel better or happier.  Sometimes they even claim that it has enabled them to advise or “help” others.  But the real situation is that unless they truly know what gains there have been in and as the Spirit, how much of it there has been and where is it all really going, then the so-called “gain” is at best a preliminary stimulation of an unrealized potential and therefore not yet any gain at all.  Such a spiritual “gain” from years of books within a pattern of seemingly spiritual commitment or contacts and efforts has no value at all until it becomes activated and harmonized with a significant activity of a real higher connection beyond all false relationship.
