According to Hakim Bey, "the Temporary Autonomous Zone (T.A.Z.) does not concern itself very much with ‘was’ or ‘will be’. The T.A.Z. is interested in immediate results, in successful raids on consensus reality, in breakthroughs into more intense and abundant life".   If you can see the irreplaceable beauty of such a philosophy of life, read the next note.

Juan Matus once gave one of the great principles of the Temporary Autonomous Zone when he said to Carlos Castaneda, “I want to share with you the secret of the great stalkers, of those who know how to hunt and find what they truly need for the exhilarating magical life of the Spirit.  The secret is: to be available and unavailable at the precise turn of the road.   You must learn to become deliberately available and unavailable.   As your life goes along right now, you are unwittingly available all too often.  But remember, to be unavailable does not mean to hide, or to be dishonest and secretive, but unavailable.   Your present problems stem from the fact that you hide, and everyone knows you’re hiding: then, when you are unable to hide, you are available for everyone to take a poke at you.  A stalker is not available, but a rabbit is, even though it hides here and there”.  Before you go on to the next note think of how you can be unavailable to the government or society without trying to hide from the government or society.

Again and again, in a variety of ways, we have been pointing out to you that your inner life must arrive at an awakening, a dawn of Divine Light.  In the blaze of that inner flame of cosmic fire all the malformations of your being will be consumed, you will be rendered crystal clear and indestructibly whole.
