You might want to notice something in this note
before you go on to the next note,
which is that you have decided to
improve your state of being, your consciousness and your life,
regardless of how weak, delayed or seemingly inconsistent that
decision may seem to be. When you recognize your hidden
decision-power, you do more for yourself than you may know
yet.
This note is
about what you sometimes believe is your “lack of will-power”.
You have unlimited will-power
of inner freedom to change and improve. The more often you
activate it, the stronger it becomes. Even failures and
collapses are assimilated and slowly understood through inner
observation, giving rise to greater successes and more sustained
efforts. Any idea about “lack of will-power” is
just ignorance and self-deception. The more you want
a good change in your being, the more you will discover what
it needs and go ahead and make better efforts.
This note is about contradictory
desires and the Mystery of the
Will. The more you are aware of
contradictions in your desires, the less they can do that
to you; the more you deeply investigate the
mystery of your will-power, the more you discover how to
be more useful to yourself, the more clear you become about
the theory and practice of real Yoga. As the Mystery
of Will gets cleared up, you find yourself becoming inwardly
stronger and making better efforts more often and enthusiastically
than you used to. So do yourself a favor and stop
letting yourself become discouraged about your evolutionary
aspiration.
