What is your present state of being? Do you like it? Would
you like to be in a better state? The state of your body affects
the state of your mind. If you can change the state of your
body, say by fasting or taking a drug, you observe a change
of your mental state. So the mind is very rooted in the body. You therefore identify yourself, your being, with the state
of your mind as affected by your body. Is this not so? Try
to understand what is really happening to your state of being before
you read the next note.
Do you truly exist? How do you know that you exist? If you
believe you are a body, what will you believe about yourself
when your body dies? If you believe you are the personal mind
after death as a dream or subtle body, what will you believe
about yourself when your personal mind eventually dies the
second death, leaving you with only a causal body? Do you know
what it is like to believe in yourself as a causal body? The
causal body is made wholly of your beliefs and disbeliefs,
especially about yourself, as well as the results of all previous
physical and subtle action. Do you understand this? Give yourself
a glimpse of your causal body as reflected in your mental and
physical hearts. Do this at least slightly before you read
the next note.
If your state of being is beyond
even your causal body, can you give yourself a glimpse of yourself
before the next note? What are you
really like in the fourth world beyond the lower three? Can
you see for just a moment what your state of being really is
before the next note?
Perhaps your attempts to glimpse your real state of being
beyond your state of causal ego, beyond your state of mind
and beyond your state of body, are a little difficult and confusing
because your habit of identifying with the states of your three
bodies. Before you read the next note
try to see all this directly for yourself.
I can help you understand your being, but you have to work
with me on this immediately with real energy of higher awareness. This very
note is training in Zen-Vedanta, you might say. So, before
you go to the next note, will you
fully accept this Zen-Vedanta training without stupid doubts,
confusions, hesitations or arguments?
Give yourself a glimpse of true self-reality now before you
read the next note. Hint: the effort
of immediate self-glimpsing makes you feel a strange kind of
nameless happiness. You just feel sort of glad to be here working
with these incredibly challenging notes.
You are even beginning to realize what all this is really about.
These are signs that you’re “getting the message.”
Something peculiar has begun to awaken and stir in the infinite
being of bliss called Brahman. Do
you see it? Yes, it is you! Congratulations.
Now go on to the next note.
Even the slightest split second of being happy without a
surge of fulfillment of a desire is worth connecting your consciousness
with. Can you see it for yourself before the next note?
Before you finish reading this note,
examine more deeply the space in your consciousness that takes
place between notes. What is it really?
Do you see the significance of it?
This note seems to be the end of
the entire note session for now. How does it look to you in your experience
of all this?
