TAKE NOTE OF SOMETHING DIFFERENT

SESSION ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE

Before you go on to the next note, try to fully register the unique and enriching quality of your day so far, including the strange new angle of this particular note, which you may notice has something like a pink lightning flash in it similar to the static “heat lightning” one can see in the Mojave or Sonora desert.  It is a subtle flash without roaring thunder. It is eerie and provocative.  It makes you ask, “Did I really see what I just saw”?  The earthly and the unearthly become joined together in a natural twilight zone.  You sense that something within you has evoked this, but without knowing specifically what was being evoked.

You are now evoking this new note, which you have never read before and could not possibly imagine or concoct beforehand from your own cognitive resources, but which is now giving you a slightly different cognitive capacity through stimulating it to emerge from within you as a response to this note before the next note arrives.

The arrival of this note in your life may be a little thing or a big thing for you, depending on how you take it.  Do you see this?

This note is also unprecedented and not a mere “footnote” to the previous note, just as it is not a mere “introduction” to the next note.  In fact, this note is utterly unprecedented so that it borders on inexhaustible and may very well prove to be wholly inexhaustible in some future aeon.

This note is entering your mind like a bird flying into a cloud and knowing the way through the cloud without the cloud knowing the way for the bird.  This means that where you try to place this note cannot compare to where it is placing itself beyond your useless placing.  If you can thus return to cognitive innocence before the next note, you will be more than rewarded or enriched.

No note, teaching, teacher, situation, or state can ever be “perfect” or “imperfect” because such labels or judgments are nothing but petty and limited concepts of your petty and limited empirical consciousness which is itself ever forced to modify such concepts in the light of further knowledge, experience and emergent possibility.  Be as clear as you can about this before going into the provocative and difficult but elegant next note.

The ghost of Chögyam Trungpa and the Immortal Presence of Padma Sambhava wish you well in all this, just as I, your anonymous author, wish you well in all this.  All of this is a Vajra diamond-hard indestructible friendly conspiracy to bring forth a new way from within your core self of reading this note. Your Vajra appreciation does not mean you should try to become a Tibetan Buddhist, but rather that you have a big hint about bringing out your core being.
