Senior managers want middle managers to change, to improve, without the senior managers having to change, to improve.  This is the core of all the problems of humanity.  Only one senior manager in a million can face the fact that he or she is arrested in development.  Even the middle managers for the most part are indeed arrested in their development as well.  The good news is that our readers do not have to remain arrested in their development whether they are managers or not.

When the human brain hears itself mentioned in what it reads, something always go wrong in the way it tries to think about what actually is and is not.
